If i could un-invent one thing it would be social media.
What started as a fun way to connect and share silly things you were doing or to share that holiday has become a literal wall.
People build up this perfect image and narrative of their lives and completely hide anything that could be seen as negative from everyone.
The thing is non of it is real, videos are recorded again and again and edited for hours until they are more prefect than most Hollywood movies.
Pictures are setup for hours in advance and taken to still be photo shopped until they rival most modern advertisements.
Everything is designed to look perfect and all these “narratives” are completed fake and aren’t worth any time to 99% of people.
That doesn’t even include the who “outrage culture” and click-bate.
What started as a fun way to connect and share our live with close people has turned into yet another way for people to be fake and try and “fake it until you make it” with nothing genuine in any of it.
I wish people would go back to being genuine and actually being who they are rather than hiding behind a fake wall of perfection and all the narratives – what ever happened to “the truth!”
